No Persistent Storage

At MeritMe, we believe specifically in ephemeral data processing.

When you use our extension or web application to generate a resume, your data is held in memory only for the duration of the generation session. Once you close the tab or finish downloading your resume, your data is automatically cleared from our application state.

AI Processing & Third Parties

To provide our resume generation and improvement services, we use OpenAI's API.

  • Your text data (and only the text data you explicitly submit) is sent securely to OpenAI for processing.
  • According to OpenAI's enterprise policies, data sent via their API is not used to train their models.
  • We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, or analytics brokers.

Local Data

We may use your browser's localStorage to temporarily save your progress so you don't lose your work if you accidentally refresh the page. This data lives exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to a persistent database on our servers. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser cache.
